Type in the town or area code you're after then click search. Click any number in the results to select it. Optionally search for a special number sequence for something more memorable.
Choose by area code
Start typing the name of the town or the area code you want into the box labelled 'UK area codes'. Then click the 'search' button.
You will see a list of numbers available with that area code. Click on a number you like from the list and you will go to the checkout page.
If you want to see more numbers with that area code, click the arrows on the left and right of the list to move to the next page.
Choose a special sequence
If you want your number to contain a specific sequence of digits e.g. '123456' use the 'Special sequence' option, as well as the area code.
If you just want the sequence to appear somewhere in the number, type the numbers you want into the box to the right of 'Containing'.
If you want the specified sequence to occur at the start or end of your number, then click on the down arrow on the box that says 'Containing' and select 'Starting with' or 'Ending with' instead.
You can look for this sequence across multiple area codes. When you enter the first area code another box will appear in which you can enter the second area code and so on – but you do have to enter the code, if you enter more town names they will not be accepted.
Choose by Gold value
The Gold value is the cost for a specific number. However most numbers carry zero cost. Gold numbers carry a premium because they are rarer numbers and in high demand. This can be for a variety of reasons such as being easier to remember. Most smaller businesses do not need a Gold number but if you do want one then you just pay the premium during the checkout process.
By default, the Gold value box is set to 'All' and your search results will include both numbers that are included in your dmConnect12 package and those that you will have to pay for – with prices. If you are not interested in a premium number, click on the down arrow next to 'All' and select 'Free' from the list. These numbers will have £0 in the Gold column.
If you are looking for a special sequence, it is best to leave the Gold value box set to 'All' as special numbers are likely to have a Gold value.
Selecting your number
Once you have found the number you want, click on it and you will be taken directly to the checkout page.
